Dried bonito and kelp broth dipping noodles|Tsukemen Kinryu
In search of delicious tsukemen (dipping noodles), I went to “Tsukemen Kinryu” near Ogawamachi Station in Tokyo.
When we arrived at the restaurant, there were a few customers waiting in front of the restaurant. This is evidence of the restaurant’s popularity. The restaurant staff immediately guided me to the restaurant and I decided to purchase a meal ticket first. After purchasing the ticket, I returned to the waiting line and was able to enter the restaurant after standing in line for about 20 minutes.

Excellent tsukemen noodles, delicious both dipped and not dipped in the dipping soup.
Once seated, the “Katsuo kobusui tsukemen” (Dried bonito and kelp broth dipping noodles) was served almost without a wait.
As the name suggests, this “Katsuo kobusui tsukemen” (Dried bonito and kelp broth dipping noodles) is a gem filled with the flavor of bonito and the deliciousness of kelp.
First, we decided to try it with only kelp water and salt, without dipping it in the dipping sauce. The noodles are thin and absorb the flavors well in the kelp water, and the salt alone provides an excellent taste.
Next, the noodles are dipped thoroughly in the dipping sauce, which further enhances its thickening and flavor. The dipping broth contains two kinds of wontons, shrimp and meat, which are also delicious. The elegant broth and noodles intertwine perfectly, and the slippery texture whets the appetite.

What we reaffirmed on this visit was that Tsukemen Kinryu’s “Katsuo kobusui tsukemen” (Dried bonito and kelp broth dipping noodles) is definitely delicious. It was a bowl of kombu-sui tsukemen (Kelp broth dipping noodles) that allowed us to fully enjoy the deliciousness of katsuo kelp water tsukemen.
