Oyster ajillo ramen|Mukan Hatsudai

I went to “Mukan Hatsudai”, a ramen restaurant in the neighborhood of Hatsudai Station in Tokyo, to try their “Kaki no Ahijo-men” (Oyster ajillo ramen). Having heard that the restaurant had a good reputation, there was a line in front of the restaurant, and we waited about 20 minutes before entering.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was guided by the staff and purchased a meal ticket from the ticket vending machine. I ordered the “Kaki no Ahijo-men” (Oyster ajillo ramen).
After purchasing the meal ticket, we were immediately shown to our seats and after a short wait, our food was served.

At first glance, the noodles look like tsukemen (dipping noodles), but the aroma of the ajillo and oysters is appetizing. The egg on top of the noodles is broken up and the oyster ajillo and noodles are mixed well together.
The noodles, which have been thoroughly cured in cold water, have a firm texture and the oyster’s seashore flavor stands out. The cold noodles and oysters are a perfect match for oyster lovers. It is very distinctive, with a unique taste that has never been tasted in ramen or tsukemen (dipping noodles).
In addition, a squeeze of lemon added a sour taste to the rich oyster flavor, which was also a great addition. It is a gem of a dish, very complete as a dish with impactful flavor.

We believe that this is a great restaurant that offers excellent products supported by ideas and techniques.
Unfortunately, “Mukan Hatsudai” has now moved to Asagaya, but please visit the Asagaya store. If you like oysters, you must try this ramen at least once.
