Chicken + Fish double soup ramen|FUUNJI

FUUNJI is located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. FUUNJI is famous for its tsukemen and there are always many people queuing up. There are always customers queuing up, so if you go there with a casual ‘let’s try some tsukemen’ mindset, you may find yourself waiting a long time.

However, the tsukemen and ramen noodles you have to queue for are exceptionally tasty. The queue is worth it at FUUNJI.

This time, we are introducing ramen, not tsukemen. When you enter FUUNJI, you buy a meal ticket and place your order. The owner and all the staff give you a very good impression of their service, and you hand your meal ticket to the staff with a sense of anticipation.

After a few minutes’ wait, the ramen appears. The soup is a double broth of chicken and seafood. You can choose between a regular and a large bowl of noodles. The ramen looks simple and the soup is a colour reminiscent of potage. After fully appreciating the stunning visuals with your eyes, you quickly put your chopsticks to your ramen.

Start with the soup. The soup is a wonderful harmony of chicken and seafood with a strong flavour and umami. Some people may think it tastes ‘strong’, but this is a strange soup that makes this taste addictive.

The noodles are medium-thin and slightly hard-boiled. These noodles are really tasty because they are beautifully intertwined with the chicken and seafood soup and soak it up together. Of course, the tsukemen noodles were thicker than these ramen noodles.
Also, the toppings of chicken chashu pork and eggs are really tasty, making it a perfect bowl of noodles.

It’s a really n good restaurant, not only for the tsukemen, but also for the ramen noodles.
I enjoyed it very much. Thank you very much for the food. Thank you very much.
