Tonkotsu ramen|Tonkuru
This ramen restaurant is located in a shopping street near Sasazuka Station in Tokyo.
It is one of the ramen restaurants we recall when it comes to delicious “tonkotsu ramen”(pork bone ramen)not far from Shinjuku Station.
Located in the shopping arcade near Sasazuka Station, there are so many different stores lining the street that you might miss the entrance a bit, but the flavor is outstanding!
“Tonkuru” is the place to go for “tonkotsu ramen”(pork bone ramen)!
“Tonkuru” has very good char siu pork, so chashu ramen or pork belly ramen is also good. However, the char siu ramen and pork belly ramen may be sold out if you go late in the day, so if you want to taste Tonkuru’s char siu, try not to go too late.
Concentrated flavor without chemical seasoning!
Tonkotsu Ramen(pork bone ramen)
Tickets are required, so purchase a ticket for ramen at the store entrance. The restaurant has only a counter for seating.
Inside the restaurant, there is none of the animal smell characteristic of tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen.
Each seat has a description of the ramen’s taste and commitment to health,
As you flip through the descriptions, your ramen is served in no time at all.
I always feel that the time from order to delivery is relatively quick for tonkotsu ramen. This may be a selfish image, but….
I can feel the passion from the various particulars from the restaurant.
The soup, which is made by boiling pork and chicken without using any chemical seasonings, has a punch that makes you wonder, “Is it really chemical-free?” The thick layer of lard gives the soup a rich flavor!
While the thick layer of lard gives the soup a punch, it does not have the strong umami that is often found in pork bone broths with excessive salt and chemical seasonings.
The pork extract is slowly woven into the soup, giving it a rich, full flavor.
It is characterized by a surprisingly refreshing taste, and the superb flavor unfolds as if the authentic pork bone broth has been further refined.
This unique balance accentuates the appeal of the extremely tasty pork bone broth.
The noodles are thin and straight, with a slightly higher water content, so they remain pleasantly chewy. They are carefully boiled in plenty of water and drained thoroughly in a flat colander to ensure an even and delicious taste.
In addition, the restaurant’s signature fresh cabbage and flavorful Korean seaweed blend perfectly with the noodles to create an exquisite taste. The chashu pork is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The cabbage and Korean seaweed also go well with the noodles and soup.
This restaurant is very particular about its food, and I wonder if they are stubborn as a restaurant. I think they are stubborn, but the service is friendly and very attentive. I think it is a really good restaurant.
We had a delicious meal. Thank you very much. Thank you very much.
