Slow-cooked chicken broth salt ramen|Toripaitanmen Kageyama Takadanobaba-ten
There are numerous ramen restaurants in the vicinity of Takadanobaba Station in Tokyo, and “Toripaitanmen Kageyama Takadanobaba-ten” is one of the most notable.
We visited on a weekday evening and were able to smoothly enter the restaurant without a wait that day.
Upon entering the restaurant, we immediately purchased a meal ticket from the ticket vending machine. Since I visited the restaurant for slow-cooked chicken broth ramen, I ordered the “toripaitan shio soba” (slow-cooked chicken broth salt ramen) this time. The restaurant has only a counter, and there is an atmosphere in which one can comfortably enter alone.
After about 10 minutes of waiting, the “Toripaitan shio soba” (Slow-cooked chicken broth salt ramen) was served in a beautiful bowl. The colorful and appetizing appearance of the dish, topped with lettuce and mizuna (potherb mustard), gives a healthy first impression.
First, take a sip from the soup. The slow-cooked chicken broth soup looks thick, but in fact it is surprisingly light and very tasty with a strong chicken flavor.
Next, we have the noodles. The medium-thick, curly noodles are well entwined with the slow-cooked chicken broth soup, and each mouthful is filled with its deliciousness.
In addition, this ramen comes with lemon as an optional garnish. Squeezing the lemon during the course of the meal makes the soup even more refreshing and invigorating. Also, since the ramen comes with bite-size pieces of rice, you can add the rice to the soup and enjoy it risotto-style after finishing the noodles. The combination of the rice and the soup, which is filled with the flavor of Slow-cooked chicken broth soup, is an exquisite dish.
