Extreme taiga ramen|Tora-Ichiban

“Tora-Ichiban” was selected as one of the 100 best restaurants in 2017. I visited such a famous restaurant.

It is a popular restaurant due to its reputation as one of the 100 best restaurants, so there is often a line of people waiting in line. This time we arrived before lunch hours, so we were able to enter the restaurant without waiting.

This is the first time I have been here in the daytime, as this ramen restaurant used to be open only at night.
The way to order at this restaurant is to write your order on a piece of paper like a sticky note and hand it in. There are no meal tickets or verbal orders. First-time customers may be a little confused, so please be careful.

You look at the menu, write down “Kiwami taiga ramen”(Extreme taiga ramen)and “Yakimeshi”(fried rice)on a piece of paper, and hand it to the staff.
After a 10-minute wait, the yakimeshi(fried rice) was brought out first. The “Kiwami taiga ramen”(Extreme taiga ramen)came shortly after.

The quantity was more than I expected, the ramen was full of ingredients, and the Yakimeshi(fried rice)was more than enough for one person. I was glad.

The Yakimeshi(fried rice)was salty and full of ingredients such as ham, egg, and green onion. It is different from Chinese fried rice, but the parapetty way it is cooked and the strong seasoning are addictive and appetizing.

Next is the “Kiwami taiga ramen”(Extreme taiga ram). The soup is based on chicken stock and seafood, and its clear taste is rich in flavor, filling the mouth with a pleasant sensation when you take a sip. The ramen noodles are medium-fine with a firm texture, enhancing the soup’s compatibility. The noodles are lightly frizzled, and when taken into the mouth with the soup, a pleasantly mellow sensation spreads through the mouth.

The ramen is lavishly topped with two kinds of char siu pork, rare pork and chicken breast. Add to this a boiled egg and spinach, and you have a perfectly balanced ramen of the highest quality.

After finishing my ramen, I felt very satisfied. The particular and well-seasoned taste is the charm of this “Tora-Ichiban”.
