Soy sauce Ramen with wontons|Junteuchi Men-to-Mirai
“Junteuchi Men-to-Mirai” is a popular restaurant in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo.
The “handmade noodles” is what really appeals to me.
I have been interested in this ramen restaurant ever since I saw its picture on the Internet. I had the chance to try their ramen, which has been awarded the Bib Gourmand award for “dishes that provide satisfaction above and beyond the price,” and is said to be “making ramen lovers fall in love with it.
This was my first visit to “Junteuchi Men-to-Mirai”. As I was walking around, worried that many people would be waiting in line, I saw a relatively small line of about 6 people in front of the store, and was able to enter the restaurant in about 20 minutes.
I ordered the “Shoyu Ramen”(Soy sauce Ramen) with wontons.
Let’s start with the soup. This is incredibly tasty!
Next, I had the wontons I was looking forward to. To my surprise, these were shrimp wontons, and they were very excellent!
And next, finally, the extra-thick noodles.
I thought to myself, “This is pure handmade noodles! I lifted up the noodle with chopsticks and thought to myself, “This is pure handmade noodles!
The taste is ramen, but you feel like you are eating udon.
The texture of the noodle is chewy, and you can feel the deliciousness of the noodle every time you eat it. This chewy texture is achieved by using “Mochihime” flour produced in Iwate Prefecture. It is a noodle you should definitely try at least once.
The tender roasted pork belly is also perfect when mixed with the soup.
As a result, the handmade noodles at “Junteuchi Men-to-Mirai” are the best, and although the focus tends to be on the noodles, the soup is also delicious!
Also, the customer service was pleasant, even though they must be busy, and the restaurant is quite likable!
We had a delicious meal. Thank you for the meal. Thank you very much.
